Description
This minimalist armchair with armrests was designed by Gio Ponti. The structure is made of lacquered solid wood or Canaletta walnut. The advantage of this model is that the upholstery is completely removable.
D.156.3 was produced for Altamira, an American company founded by the nephew of Spaniard De Cuevas. The armchair was exhibited in the company's showroom in New York, along with furniture by Ico Parisi, Franco Albini, Carlo De Carli, Ignazio Gardella and others, selected among the most representative exhibitors at the 10th Milan Triennale.
