Description
Living Box, designed by Vincent Van Duysen: starting from a typical architectural design, Vincent Van Duysen reduced its scale to a small architectural object, transforming it into a household object with special features and possibilities for new uses. The Living Box was conceived as an independent piece of furniture, suitable for use in any room in the house, but especially in the living room. The Living Box is a low but large (230, 280, 330, 380) rectangular container without doors, in which the exterior and interior elements contrast with each other through the use of different materials. On top is marble and various types of wood, specially arranged to decorate the surface. . woods used, including eucalyptus and the new Sunrise Oak finish, are cladding materials that completely surround and mark the perimeter.Subdued lighting is provided by LEDs. The interior space is completely free and free of sharp corners thanks to special curved corners. The space thus created allows any kind of objects to be displayed freely. If this scenographic solution is not suitable, you can add one or more subdued and elegant sets of drawers, with iris and pewter or wooden finishes, with a subdued and elegant design. They occupy free space, hiding what is useful, but preferably invisible.
