This desk is the result of a search for a contemporary product with key features and highly refined aesthetic and technical details that demonstrate Molteni&C's expertise in woodworking. The top, placed asymmetrically on the structure, has two trays carved into the wooden surface, and the central tray is covered with saddle leather. The wood at the back has a distinct curved shape to accommodate the small drawers, which are also covered in saddle leather. The legs were made using a complex three-dimensional woodworking technique in which grooves are carved on three sides of the piece. The resulting product shows a good balance of essential style and elegance, at once modern and simple, as well as sophisticated and rich in specialised detail.
