Since the 1950s, Molteni&C has been at the forefront of innovative solutions for the night area, which include a wide range of beds as well as comprehensive and functional storage proposals. Hence 7070, an innovative bedside system that provides an area traditionally dedicated to rest and relaxation with a new series of nightly additions, modernly designed to meet the needs of modern life. Rodolfo Dordoni has designed a complete set in which fine materials and finishes are combined with a subdued and elegant design for new functional aesthetic solutions. Both the bedside table and the drawers have a front with rounded corners, which brightens up the design. The three drawers in the chest of drawers and the two drawers in the bedside cabinets are lacquered in the colours of the Molteni&C range and fitted with delicate, recessed and easy-to-grip pewter handles. A novelty is the overlapping tray-drawer, again made of eucalyptus wood, complete with a transparent, ribbed glass top. Alternatively, the bedside table and chest of drawers can be enhanced with a slender eucalyptus wood top.
