Description

Pebble Rubble by Swedish design duo Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren of Front Design for Moroso is a sensual experience. Along with our frenetic daily routine, the slow and boundless rhythm of nature. The design of the Pebble Rubble conveys a message that goes beyond the functions and features of an ordinary seat. The most visible feature is the resemblance of the upholstered solids to these massive rocks, polished by the relentless rain and wind and covered with an organic or vegetal layer capable of softening their roughness and making the surfaces comfortable and welcoming. A scenic installation that does not stop at mere simulation, but is based on lengthy research, during which the designers explored the therapeutic benefits nature has on people's physical and mental health, as well as the cultural and psychological significance of natural environments, particularly those found in the designers' native Sweden. Although primarily intended for use in the corporate and hospitality sectors, Pebble Rubble consists of 15 modules (seats and backrests) complemented by three (foot) stools, which allow for a free, flexible and creative composition process. There are endless possibilities of arrangement, from a single seat to the creation of a sophisticated panorama, and the whole will contribute to making any interior design magical and unique.
