Description

The Gemma collection was developed around the idea of contrast and the experience that comes from the perception of shape. The sharp asymmetry of the three-dimensional geometry contrasts with the softness of the upholstery. The multi-faceted profile is reminiscent of both a precious gemstone and compositions typical of 15th-century Italian tapestries. The collection represents a synergy between Libeskind's complex geometry and Moroso's well-known expertise. Libeskind drew great inspiration from natural geological forms, including crystals, gems and natural rock formations. In the case of the Moroso collection, the design is based on an asymmetrical faceted gem design to create both a sculpture for the home or office. Injected flame-retardant polyurethane foam on an internal steel frame. The runners are made of black polypropylene. Gemma collection covers are not removable.
