Description
A functional sculpture, a comfortable and friendly seat that is both durable and lightweight and seemingly defies gravity. Paper Planes evolved from a millimeter paper-based fabric design: its shape comes from folding and modeling paper as an exploration of form and structure to create angles, lines and polygons. Its apparent simplicity requires masterful artistic skills: the lines of the fabric must be perfectly aligned with the geometry of the chair, which means there is no room for error. Injected flame-retardant polyurethane foam on an internal steel frame. The base is made of square steel tubing with a matte finish; glides are steel with a chrome finish or brass. Paper Planes combinations shown on the following pages are recommended by designers. Cover versions are jacquard, with Swarovski crystals or in uniform Hallingdal colors with the designers' distinctive embroidery. Versions with uniform Hallingdal colors can also be specified without signature embroidery at the same price; specify no embroidery when ordering. Paper Planes collection covers are not removable.
