Description
Carefully considered design begins with the frame, the quality of the supports. Ergonomics dictates the seating position. Two complementary approaches to comfort: support and surround. Chairs and armchairs have an upholstered shell that rests on the base; while chaise lounges and armchairs have a covering directly attached to the frame, a pouch that supports and seduces the user. The name, taken from a Caribbean liquor made from coffee and rum, refers to a dual identity, an allusion to the play of opposites. A posture that is both formal and informal, the symmetry and asymmetry of the armrests, the angularity and curvature of the frame. All uses are allowed: waiting, resting, relaxing. Injected flame-retardant polyurethane foam on an internal steel frame. Frame/legs are tubular steel with chrome finish or powder coating; on polypropylene glides. Tia Maria collection covers are not removable.
