The Lloyd Tex self-supporting bookcase, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, uses the transparency and lightness of Techno-fabric panels, a translucent technical fabric in light and dark colours. The panels slide along invisible horizontal guides, creating constantly changing sequences. At Lloyd Tex, the most advanced technology is combined with traditional materials, such as wood, in a delicate balance between different types of material. The interplay of solids and voids becomes even more apparent, allowing the contents of a freestanding piece of furniture to be seen without completely revealing them.
