Description

This showcase ensemble may resemble a geometric spatial challenge between the body of the box, which is both solid and transparent, and the thin mesh that wraps around the perimeter of its flat surfaces and is seen as an extension of the body. A provocative note, somewhere between the basic elements of industrial Bauhaus and contemporary elegance, was achieved with metallic finishes. The colors, reflected evolutionarily from the striped glass panels, gradually fade away, creating optical abstractions. The impression of segmented, repeating rhythmic geometric figures, highlighted by lacquered surfaces and wooden panels at the back, appears poetically, like a curtain that discreetly heralds the interior. The Canaletto collection of glazed display cases is a small but very unique series. The upper structure is completely glazed, both front and sides, with striated glass in a widely spaced linear pattern (vertical ribbing), alternating slopes like peaks and troughs. This slender glass allows one to see, or at least guess, the contours of the objects stored inside when light falls on them. The glass of the door is mounted flush with the smoky, brushed anodized aluminum frames, held in place with invisible adhesive under a bronze martingale. The interior metal shelves are slim, lacquered and fully mounted on the back, attached to the rear panels.
