Description
The Marechiaro project is a bookcase/screen/palisade/architecture/home landscape that challenges the traditional use of the bookshelf and its presence in the space. The system is a screen-shelf that, on the one hand, aims to store books and objects that are close to us, and on the other hand, is a screen composed of wooden slats connected open-work to maintain a certain transparency. This dual use, this dual identity allows for free and flexible use. The system makes it possible to create a space within a space: with these three modules (straight, concave and convex), the compositions offer infinite freedom to create recesses and perforated walls, adapting to the requirements of the architecture of the place. In this way, we can easily designate a space for work / living room, living / dining room, dressing room / bedroom. Wooden slats in two shades add movement and surprise. They also allow different perceptions of Marechiaro depending on the angle of observation. The bookcase is made entirely of machined solid wood. Choose from two finishes: natural ash: natural ash shelves / natural and black stained slats black ash: black stained ash shelves / “patine bronze” (brown patina) and black stained slats.
