It was during the 2020 spring lockdown that Benjamin Graindroge resumed his project initiated at the Kujoyama Villa a few years earlier. The serenity of this French art establishment based in Mount Higashi, Kyoto, provides all the ingredients to encourage creation with a connection to Japan. From the first time one discovers the Kujoyama bookcase, one immediately finds that calming feeling of controlled tranquility thanks to the austerity of subtly proportioned proportions between the various elements that make it up. MDF panels in dark walnut veneer and black grooves / black stained ash shelves and sides with solid wood lips.
