Hashira means pillar in Japanese. The Hashira table is a sculptural table made of noble materials: wood and marble. Its sculptural appearance is due to its four tapered legs of large size. Nevertheless, this table is designed so that it does not interfere when people sit around the table. These legs give the table a real presence, making it very recognizable and thus rather iconic. The carved look of the table also comes from the work on the wooden edge of the tabletop, as it is defined by the worked curve that continues on the edge of the marble.
