Soudure is inspired by the art of Kintsugi. A Japanese method of repairing broken pottery using a visible binder to recreate unique artifacts. The aluminum vessels have a soldered motif that gives the impression of interconnected pieces. Thanks to the handmade process, each pattern has a unique character. During the manufacturing process, the joint patterns are usually polished. But here they are celebrated and become decorative and functional. The weld pattern remains visible to highlight the manufacturing process of scrap metal recycling.
