Putting these two objects together (an artisan-made brass mesh sphere and a sphere of the same dimensions made of opaline glass) results in a vase topped with a mesh through which flowers can be threaded, allowing for truly creative arrangements. Individually, each object can also be a table lamp, with the opal glass diffusing soft, uniform light and the grid casting a shadow in a very decorative way (see section on lighting).
