Description
Fifty is inspired by the Flag Halyard chair, a simple chair made of metal and rope that was created in 1950 in Denmark by Hans Wegner. The duo of Dögg & Arnved designed the simple backrest not only for relaxation, but also for reading (or watching TV). Side panels woven into both sides of the headrest provide a sense of privacy. 350 meters of rope in gray, black or brown on a black steel frame were used. The Fifty armchair has a sculptural presence in a room and will attract attention with its unexpected juxtaposition of the minimalism of the steel frame construction with the artistic warmth of the hand-woven rope. Fifty is also designed for outdoor use.
Frame and base made of sandblasted steel, protected from corrosion and painted with UV-resistant black polyester. Protective foot pads. Seat and backrest woven from 350 meters of UV-resistant, solution-dyed polypropylene rope. As an option, you can order a seat/lumbar cushion made of “Dry-Feel” foam. This foam has a fully open cell structure that facilitates moisture wicking, thus reducing drying time and preventing mold growth. Black lacquered steel frame with gray, black or brown cord.
