The Samourai vase is meant to be suggestive of the various elements which are combined to make the armor of a samurai warrior. The colored design cut into the glass evokes the ornamental motifs (often in lacquered steel) which are the most common decoration for the protective pieces. Made from mouth-blown glass, molded and cut to obtain the motif at the top of the neck.
